Foterra Jewelry is a locally owned small business, based in Downtown Honolulu. We create handmade jewelry using original photography of the Hawaiian Islands and many other locations across the US mainland and around the world. The company is run by the husband and wife design team of Morgan Lane-Tanner (Jewelry Designer) and Josh Astern (FOTographer). If so, this might be the job for you!

Job Description: The Jewelry Maker will spend their day in our Downtown Honolulu studio finishing jewelry pieces such as earrings, necklaces, and bracelets. They will be wire wrapping stones with fine wire, cutting and attaching small pieces, pouring resin, and packaging jewelry to be mailed to customers and retailers. Our ideal candidate should have previous experience in creating jewelry either as a hobby or a profession. Please list any classes taken in jewelry making for a hobby or for school credit when you apply. We are looking for someone who has an artistic eye and pays attention to detail. Experience in soldering jewelry is a plus but not required.

 Working At Foterra jewelry

Qualifications:

  1. Has experience in crafting, and/or making jewelry
  2. Two years of general work experience
  3. Willing to work in a collaborative team

Compensation: Part-time work, 15-19 hours a week. The training period will last approximately two weeks, pay $12/hour. After that, pay will be increased based on how quickly you can finish projects and recreate designs. Full-time opportunities for the right candidate!
